Deborah Mckeown Official

Deborah Mckeown always loved to sing. She learned the piano as a child and then taught herself the guitar as a teenager. Once she began to master her instruments, she started to write songs and decided to study music in college. With a distinctive and unique voice this is not a singer you will forget. Her songs draw on rock, folk and blues.

She looks at the emotions associated with grief in her song 'Goodbye' from her EP 'Hold on to it'.  Deborah always believed in following your dreams, this is expressed in her song 'Just do it' from her upcoming album 'Change'.  She explores positive and challenging emotions in her songs and there is an honesty and authenticity to her sound. She has a strong desire to connect to her audience through song.

Deborah has been singing her own songs throughout Ireland for a number of years. She has also performed her original material in Madrid where she lived for nine months as an English teacher. Deborah offers music lessons in County Offaly. Radios stations have played her songs such as Midlands 103.

When her peers in primary school asked 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' Deborah always knew - to be a singer or a teacher Deborah Mckeown really is living the dream.
